    Boss Project - Geology

    Regional Setting:
The Goodspring Mining district is located within the central portion of the Basin and Range tectonic province, between the gold rich Basin and Range block and the copper rich porphyry copper Mohave block at the southern end of the 500-mile long Sevier thrust belt (late Permian to late Cretaceous in age).  The Sevier thrust belt extends from north-eastern Wyoming, across Utah and Nevada into southern California.   The Goodsprings district also occurs within the “Walker Lane” tectonic lineament and is located between bordered on the Beatty and Goldfield districts to the north and the Searchlight and Oatman districts to the south.  These districts have all produced in excess of 1.0 million ounce gold.

    Structural Setting:
The Boss property is underlain by intensely faulted and folded sedimentary rock ranging in age from Cambrian to Lower Mississippian.  Several intrusions occur within the property with the largest intrusives underlying the southwestern side of the property and the north side of the property along the Keystone Thrust Fault.   The property is bounded on the north by the Keystone Thrust fault and on the south by the Green Monster thrust fault.  These faults are interpreted to flatten at depth and form part of a major detachment fault similar to that which occurs in the Robinson Mining District.
