Exploration Model:
The Boss property exhibits many similarities to the Robinson Mining District located approximately 12 miles west of Ely, in east central Nevada. The mineralization in the Robinson District consisted of numerous high-grade copper-gold and gold mineralization in veins overlying a porphyry copper deposit. The porphyry deposit was mined from 1908 to 1963 with reported production to be 255 million tonnes grading 0.8% copper with significant concentrations of gold-silver-platinum-palladium.
The mineralization in the Robinson District occurred primarily in altered monzonite porphyry and to a lesser amount in adjacent altered sedimentary rocks.
Exploration Target:
The three exploration targets on the Boss property are:
- porphyry style mineralization similar to that of the Robinson Mining District.
- Intrusion related and carbonate hosted gold mineralization along the Keystone thrust fault, and
- Zinc-lead-silver mineralization in breccias pipe similar to the Clark Mountain district in California.
