    Geology

    Regional Setting:
The Boyer Ranch Property is located in the Humbolt mafic complex, the largest mafic complex in Nevada. This complex is composed of gabbroic plutons, mafic flows, interbedded volcaniclastic sedimentary and tuffaceous units and clastic sedimentary rocks.   Geological work in the early 1990’s suggests that the Humbolt complex is an allochthon that was transported south along the upper plate of the Luning-Fencemaker overthrust fault system during the late Jurassic age.  This complex hosts numerous occurrences of high-grade copper-nickel-cobalt mineral occurrences.

    Property Geology:
The geology of property consists of flat-lying Tertiary volcanic tuffs/tuffaceous sediments and gently to moderately dipping strongly altered Jurassic-age porphyritic/amygdaloidal andesite to basaltic andesite flows/flow breccias.  The Jurassic volcanics exhibit strong chlorite-albite-hematite alteration. Two strata-bound zones of iron-oxide-copper-gold (IOCG)-style copper mineralization occur at or near the contact between flat-lying Tertiary volcanic tuffs and the altered Jurassic-age volcanic.

    Structural Setting:
Two zones of copper-silver mineralization occur along an unconformable contact between Tertiary bedded tuffaceous sediments and underlying Jurassic andesite volcanic. This contact where exposed is sheared and cut by several north-south trending faults. These north–south faults are not considered significant.
