Mapping and trenching completed in 2007 resulted in expanding the known limits of the Upper Zone of copper-silver mineralization and the discovery of the Lower Zone of copper-silver mineralization. The Lower Zone is located approximately 850 feet to the northeast of the Upper Zone.

    Upper Zone:
The copper-silver mineralization in the Upper Zone is at least 200 feet long and is open along strike and down dip to the northwest under the Tertiary cover..  The mineralized zone where exposed by trenching is estimated to have a true thickness of 10 feet. The average grade of the channel samples from this zone is 1.63% copper and 5.49 ppm silver with a maximum copper grade of 5.68% over three feet in Trench # 3.

The mineralization occurs as a tabular-shaped body consisting of fracture-controlled and disseminated copper oxide and sulphide mineralization.  The main copper minerals are  malachite + azurite and variably oxidized chalcocite + bornite that occur as fine-grained disseminations, impregnations, replacement blebs, amygdale fillings, breccia matrix and rare veinlets and irregular replacement pods of massive chalcocite up to 2 feet in diameter. The mineralized zone is truncated along strike to the southeast by a fault.

    Lower Zone:
This zone is located approximately 850 feet south of the Upper Zone. The trenching program did not define the limits of the copper-silver mineralization which remains open along strike and down dip.  The channel samples from this zone averages 3.53% copper and 10 ppm silver over a minimum estimated true thickness of 13 feet.    Copper mineralization is interpreted to extend under Tertiary volcanic.  The thickness of this zone has not yet been determined.

The weighted average grades for the copper-silver mineralization in the trenches, outcrop and pit walls for the Upper and Lower Zones are set out below:

    Geophysical Exploration:
Geophysical exploration consisting of IP/resistivity, total field magnetometer and VLF–EM surveys were completed to trace the down dip extension of the Upper and Lower zones of copper–silver mineralization.  These surveys identified at least three partially defined Induced Polarization (“IP”) anomalies; two of which are associated with the Upper and Lower zones of copper-silver mineralization.  Highlights of the IP survey are:

    Anomaly #1:
This linear-shaped, north trending IP anomaly measures 300 feet wide and 850 feet long is located on the down-dip side (to the north) of the Upper zone of copper-silver mineralization.  The strongest portion of this anomaly is located down-dip from the mineralized zone.  At its south end, this anomaly coincides with a magnetic low associated with sulfide mineralization.

    Anomaly #2:
The Lower Zone of copper-silver mineralization does not exhibit an IP anomaly in the vicinity of the outcropping mineralization due to the oxidization of the copper sulphide mineralization.  However, a weak, wide (at least 900’) irregular-shaped anomaly has been partially defined further down dip (to the northeast) and along strike to the southeast of the zone suggesting the presence of disseminated copper sulphide mineralization.

    Anomaly # 3:
Anomaly # 3 is interpreted to be the extension of the Lower Zone of copper-silver mineralization down dip to the northwest.  This anomaly ranges from 150 to 300 feet wide, at least 750 long and open down dip to the northwest.  The geophysical survey suggests the Lower Zone of copper-silver mineralization extends along strike to the northwest where a low to moderate, linear-shaped chargeability anomaly has been defined. The presence of a significant chargeability anomaly in this direction suggests an increase in sulfides at depth along strike.

    Geochemical Surveys:
A soil sampling program was completed to explore the contact between flat-lying Tertiary volcanic tuffs and gently to moderately dipping Jurassic-age mafic volcanic along strike of Upper and Lower zones of high-grade copper-silver mineralization.

The first soil anomaly is located approximately 100 m east of the Lower Zone of copper-silver mineralization, is 350 metres long and correlates with geophysical anomaly # 3.  This anomaly is open to the west towards geophysical anomaly # 2.  Copper values within this anomaly range from 523 to 1,890 parts per million (“ppm”).

The second soil anomaly is located approximately 500 m east of the Lower Zone of copper-silver mineralization and correlates with geophysical anomaly # 2.  This anomaly is approximately 300 metres long and has copper values ranging between 140 ppm and 328 ppm.  This anomaly is open to the east.

The soil geochemical anomalies extend the potential zone of copper-silver mineralization an additional 700 metres along the contact to the east.
